Robot Chicken

This is one of those shows you'll likely either love or hate with an equal passion. I bought the first three seasons used for literally pennies on the dollar, so I really cannot complain. Will you like this show? Hmmm... Let me clarify your tastes by asking you this: Did you enjoy Revenge of the Nerds, the old Batman show, Napoleon Dynamite, Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, The G.I. Joe Adventure Team, Celebrity Death Match, SuperFriends, and Manimal? If you loudly screamed "Yes!" to any or all of these then first, get some help! Second, place your order right now for Season One since, IMHO, you are fully-primed to thoroughly enjoy the twisted genius that is ROBOT CHICKEN. If you turned up your nose or rolled your eyes at any of the above-listed titles then do yourself a favor and steer clear. No genre or topic is left un-riffed. A bunch of guys take toys from their youth and use crude stop-motion animation to make the figures come to life, creating funny (often hilarious) skits in a raunchy SNL style that's sure to please those who haven't lost their inner child and can fully enjoy a good fart joke now & then without being ashamed. >>>But please note that this show is ripe with scatological & sexual humor and contains some harsh (F-bombs included) language, so it is most definitely NOT for young kids, despite the toy/action figure look of the show.<<< The episodes contained in Season 1 are in good shape on this DVD collection. Buy it used and save a little extra dough. 4 STARS

All the details on where and when to watch grown-ups play with their toys

Adult Swim’s longest-running show, Robot Chicken, is back with its eleventh season. The stop-motion animated series is made up of short sketches – some less than a minute long – and often hit the nerdiest of topics. Created by Seth Greenand Matt Senreich, the show makes fun of the toys, cartoons, movies, and TV shows of the 1980s through the present.

The official Season 11 summary:

The Robot Chicken Nerd and Bitch Pudding are also back along with a spooky Halloween-themed episode. And not to disappoint, no corner of pop culture is safe from Robot Chicken’s satirical gaze this season. The show skewers today’s biggest hits and classics including fan-favorite characters from movies, television shows, video games, celebrities, and even nursery rhymes – Robot Chicken spares nothing and no one and prides itself on having the most comedy a quarter-hour sketch comedy show can provide!

Watch Robot Chicken on The Adult Swim App

In order to stream Adult Swim through the Adult Swim app, you have to enter your TV provider credentials. Most think you need a cable provider login to utilize the Adult Swim app, but that isn’t the case. Currently, Hulu Live TV and DIRECTV Stream accounts will work to unlock the Adult Swim app.

You can even download the Adult Swim app on your Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV and watch on your television using your Hulu Live TV or DIRECTV Stream credentials. There are detailed instructions in the next section on installing and activating the Adult Swim Go app on your streaming device.

How To Watch on Your Device

For our example, let’s assume we have a Hulu Live TV subscription and a Roku. We can follow the steps below to get the Adult Swim app working on our device. While the steps below use Hulu Live TV and Roku to watch Adult Swim, most streaming services and devices will have the same process.

  1. Get a free trial to Hulu Live TV
  2. Go to the channel store or app store on your device. On Roku, it’s called the “Channel Store.”
  3. Search for Adult Swim Channel
  4. Add the Adult Swim app to your device and then open it.
  5. Your Roku device will then show you an activation code and a URL.
  6. Using a computer or mobile web browser, you go to the URL.
  7. You will then be asked for a TV provider and a username/password. Enter the username and password you use for your Hulu Live TV account.
  8. Once you sign in on Adult Swim’s website, your TV screen will refresh. You should now have access to new episodes of Robot Chicken through the Adult Swim app
