Crystals that represent earth

Crystals that represent earth DEFAULT

Generally when people think of crystals they associate them with the element Earth. This isn't incorrect by any means as crystals come straight from Mother Earth, and, therefore, they have a strong Earthly connection, but this isn't the only way to think about crystals. In fact, many crystals are born of Fire, Air, and Water, depending on how the crystal was formed. If you are looking at a new way to represent the elements on your altar, especially if you can't have candles or incense or don't have a lot of space, crystals are a great, smoke-free, flame-free, inconspicuous way to represent all the elements.

Some of these crystals are harder to find than others, so I have made sure to list easy to find alternatives as well. Remember, if a crystal speaks Water to you, but I have it listed under Air, go with your gut. Your associations and correspondences are more important and will make your altar and magic more personal and therefore strong.

Clear quartz is am amplifier of all energies and can be used for just about anything. A crystal you may be unfamiliar with, Zeolite crystals, also represents all four elements. Zeolite crystals is crystallized sea water and lava. When it forms it combines lava (Fire and Earth) with sea water (Water) and ash (Air) to form a beautiful crystal. Zeolites include Apophyllite, Scolecite, and Heulandite. If you are limited on space, try using quartz or zeolite to represent the elements.

Seven Crystals Associated With the Earth Element

I have studied crystal healing for many years and have studied and been attuned to reiki levels one, two, and masters.

Earth is one of the classical Western elements. It is associated with the physical body and material abundance. Earth is thought of as a cool, dry and feminine energy that is grounding, calming and balancing in nature. In Greek philosophy, earth was one of four elements that formed the basis of everything in existence. Plato associated this element with darkness, thickness and quiet. Aristotle believed Earth to be the heaviest of the elements.

Today the element of earth is one of the four elements used in many magical systems along with air, fire and water. Some systems also work with a fifth element, commonly known as spirit or aether. Earth is associated with stability, health, wealth, family, success and prosperity. As an element, it can be worked with on its own or in combination with the other elements. This element is also useful for grounding and helping us to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground and within reality. Elemental Crystal Sets
Platonic Solids - Named After Plato who first considered them. In Geometry there are only five perfect, regular solid polygons - Sacred Geometric Shapes. These five geometric shapes represent a recurring pattern throughout creation, and as such represent a blue print for creation and growth. The same shapes also represent the basic structures behind crystal formations. Such shapes are sacred geometry, appearing universally each providing its own teachings for growth and connection towards a purpose.

Planato

* The Cube - Earth,
* Tetrahedron - Fire,
* The Octahedron - Air,
* The Icosahedron - Water
* Dodecahedron - Ether - And Heavens

These crystals can be used in mediation, chakra clearing, chakra balancing, dream work and ritual. Intuitively hold each shaped and ask higher self to translate the geometric shape into a thought, or to represent an energy dynamic. Once understood each structure can be harnessed and used accordingly. Working with basic formations provides a good basis for adapting the same work to natural crystal structures with more knowledge.
