Custom Map Creation
Custom paper maps can be produced, ranging in scope of showing the entire the County or focusing on specific study areas. We offer large or small format printing and mounting of maps on foam board. Digital copies of the maps can also be requested. Please see the Fee Schedule below for prices.
Dutchess County is an Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) shop. We utilize the latest in GIS software to provide you with your specific location-based needs. Please contact the Department of Planning and Development to discuss your needs.

Consultants working on behalf of a municipality (with written authorization from a municipal official), or not-for-profits or educational institutions who are members of the NYS GIS Clearinghouse, can receive digital data at no charge when the request can be completed in less than an hour. Printing and digital media charges will be as specified.
Dutchess County GIS data sets, which are updated frequently, can be ordered directly through the county. Additional data sets are available for download via outside agencies. Refer to the section on "Outside GIS Resources" for more details.

|Commonly Requested GIS Data|
|Tax Parcels||Tax Parcels must be ordered directly from the Dutchess County Real Property Tax Service Agency, separately from the other datasets. Please go to Real Property Tax Digital Mapping Products Price List or contact the department at [email protected] or 845-486-2140 for ordering instructions. Parcel lines are maintained as a county wide layer. They can be distributed countywide or by municipality.|
|Address Point File||A point placed on the centroid of every addressable structure in Dutchess County. The data includes the address and the type of structure it identifies. If more than one address exists in a structure, the address points are stacked. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling|
|Polygon representation of structure rooflines that are over 400 sq. ft. Originally structures that existed in the 2004 Aerial photographs were captured. The 2009 aerial photos were used to update the structure outlines. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling|
|5 Foot Contours||Five-foot contours stereophotogrammetrically derived from LiDAR collected by Dutchess County in 2000, updated in 2004 with New York State Orthophoto Program LiDAR. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling|
Polygons representing edge of pavement or edge of wear surface of valid addressable roads visible originally in the 2004 edition of digital orthophotography. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling
|Roads||Road centerlines with address ranges for Dutchess County, New York. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling|
|Watersheds - Dataset||The watersheds dataset contains the 2 basins, 7 subbasins, 68 watersheds, 3 gauging station catchment areas, and 5272 subwatersheds within the county boundaries. Indicators of land cover including number of structures and roof areas, road and parking lot areas, road/stream crossing counts, linear footage of streams, average lot size, and amount of forest cover are summarized for each subwatershed. – Cost: $75, plus shipping and handling|
Any special data processing requests will be reviewed and any data manipulation requests will incur an hourly charge based upon the current year's OCIS Rate Schedule.
Dutchess County uses Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) products to produce and store GIS data. GIS software is required to view our data that we provide in ArcGIS 10.8.1 File Geodatabase format, we do not export data to shapefiles due to their inherent data limitations. All of our data is stored with the following:

Parks & Trails is a map-based website containing information for nearly 200 parks, 380 miles of trails, and a large collection of 360-degree photos. It invites visitors of all ages and abilities to search and find destinations in Dutchess County based on their desired activities, fitness goals, or physical abilities.

A searchable map with all Dutchess County property boundaries and extensive amount of current property information are made available to you. Pertinent information such as wetlands, flood zones and elevations are also presented to help describe properties.
Address-based search tool to extract pertinent information.
Address Info-Finder provides basic information and links to more detailed information for official addresses within Dutchess County, NY. It’s a tool to verify an address and generate a report for related elected officials, road authorities, school districts, emergency service agencies and more.
Locate bicycle parking locations in Dutchess County.
A searchable map of bike parking locations in Dutchess County combined with rail trails and designated bike routes to enable bicyclists to locate parking near their planned destination.
InfoAccess is the new GIS-based map developed by Dutchess County OCIS.
InfoAccess displays points of interest in Dutchess County in themed "categories" such as Health Care, Public Service, Recreation, Government, and more. InfoAccess is used to map locations of public meetings and local events.
Census data dynamically updates for each municipality as you navigate to different locations. Links to InfoAccess can be found throughout the County’s website and municipal websites that have been developed by OCIS as part of the Shared Services initiative. Just look for the icon
Historic Resource Survey Viewer
The County’s built environment through history.
An extensive review of landscape and cultural assets was conducted in the mid-1980’s. These ‘marked-up” maps and related documents are a valuable source of historical information.
A collection of current and historic aerial photos dating back to 1936.
The application allows users to select two flight years and overlay them to see what changes have occurred over time. A time sequence print out is also available. Be sure to read the 'Info' and 'Basics' sections in the application to obtain a better understanding of the aerial photos being viewed.

Moving Dutchess Forward is the long-range transportation plan for Dutchess County, New York. It serves as the strategic guiding document to improve transportation in Dutchess County over the next 25 years.
Transportation projects that use federal or transit funding.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the formal capital program that assigns federal funds to highway, bridge, bikeway, pedestrian, transit, and demand management projects to be undertaken over five federal fiscal years. This viewer maps each of these projects and provides details including estimated costs.
Traffic Counts and other information displayed geographically.
The Traffic Data Application is a geographical display of traffic information collected by New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the Dutchess County Traffic Council (DCTC).
The application also provides access to this traffic information via tabular format, and allows the user to create and download simple charts from the data.
Referral Identifier Tool

When private or municipal actions involve zoning, and fall within buffers of certain legislated geographic features, the action must be referred to Dutchess County Planning & Development for review (NYS GML #239 L&M). This tool helps identify those actions to refer, based on their location.
