Olde Stone Village RV Park

| Great park

By user on Stayed to

- very clean - nice people both visiting and working there - love the fact that they are next to a museum and water park. Kids loved it! - great park for kids to ride bikes, play at the park or swim. Bad - right next to airport with helicopters practice landing all night - not close to an markets or restaurants Overall we had a great time

| Great RV park

Clean park, restrooms super clean, easy walk to Evergreen air museum.

| Great Park

By user on Stayed to

Great staff. Nice paved sites with lots of room. Good wifi, good ATT. Easy access to Evergreen Museum. We would stay here again. $39 with Good Sam.

| Evergreen Aviation Museum right next door.

By user on

We spent two nights here and the place was perfect for visiting the museum and water park. Park is well maintained.

| So clean and we'll maintained

By user on

This place sets the standard for all other parks. The small planes from the airport can be a bit bothersome but everything quitens down in the evening. There is a walking path to the air/space museum and water park.

| Kids kids kids!

By user on

RV park in front of resident mobile home park. Large full hook up sites, we had a great site # which had shade, near the pool, and on the end. We loved that there is an outdoor pool but disappointed that most afternoons it was filled by squealing, splashing kids. The kids pretty much ran the adults off (except for kids moms). There is a great walking path to the Evergreen Museum & the water park and lots of people use it to walk their dogs. Bath house and laundry areas are clean. Staff is helpful and friendly.

| Nice grounds and great location

By user on

We have stayed here three different occasions for wine club weekends in Dundee. Each time we have been in a pull through space that was easy to access. The grounds are nice and clean, and we have always had quiet neighbors. The location is perfect for visiting wineries and McMinnville. We will continue to stay here multiple times a year.

| Very well kept, nice park

By user on Stayed to

A very well kept and clean park. I just stayed the night, and pulled in late. A sign on the office door showed available sites, so I pulled in and hooked up. Concrete pull through sites, clean water, voltage is correct. Very nice landscaping and a very tidy park. The folks in the office were very nice. There is a walking trail from the park to the Evergreen Aviation Museum, where the Spruce Goose is. NOT TO BE MISSED! Definitely worth the price of admission.

| Extremely Nice RV Park!

By user on

Beautiful park, huge concrete pads, lush lawns for the pets. Very nice showers. No Trains, No road noise. My wife raved about this park, that was a first. We would stay here again. Also, the Aerospace Museum is better than any i have seen, including the Smithsonian. You can touch every plane, helicopter and missile in there. You can even have a family photo in the Spruce Goose's cockpit for an extra $ Don't forget to pick up the museum coupon at the RV office. The little town of McMinnville is a very nice place to visit. Found great Mexican Restaurant there called Los Molcajetes. The tacos were only so so, but the burrito was fabulous and so was the dish called molcajetes, living in San Diego we have a lot of great Mexican places to eat.

| Relax and enjoy

By user on Stayed to

The park is close to the air and space museum as well asthe waterpark. My wife and I stayed here with my children (ages 8, 5 and 2) and we biked to e everything and we felt safe the entire time. The parks pool has a lot of rules (no swim diapers is one) that prevents my young dude from using it. Other than that amazing! We will stay again whenever we are in the area. My wife said to add that its so clean and lovely.

| Favorite Park

By user on Stayed to

We have stayed here many times. The staff is very friendly and helpful, recognizing us each time we stay. The park is immaculate. Since Willamette Wine Country went to full time residents only, Old Stone is the very best option in the entire area. Will definitely be back.

| Second visit

By user-unknown on

We love this park. Clean, grass cement pads. Plenty of area to walk around Evergreen Museum. Lots of open area for dogs. Clean laundry and bathrooms. Easy to wine country, restaurants and the coast. Would stay again if we re in the area.

| Fabulous

Our first stay at the Olde Stone Village and we ll be back. Beautiful clean park with very clean restrooms/showers. Lots of walking area for our greyhound. Just steps away from the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. Only a few miles away from downtown McMinnville.

RV Camping Sites in Newberg or McMinnville, Oregon

The towns of Newberg and McMinnville are close to wine country in Oregon.

Newberg and McMinnville are small cities located south of Portland and north of Salem in Oregon. They lie in the Williamette Valley, home to Oregon's wine country. The RV parks in this area provide a good place to stay while exploring the area where most of the grass seed, hazelnuts, and Christmas trees are grown in the US.

Geography

Newberg and McMinnville, Oregon are located in the Williamette Valley, home to wineries and orchards. These towns are close to Salem, the state capital, Portland, the state's largest city, and the Pacific Ocean that moderates the temperatures in the valley. The RV campgrounds in the area surround Newberg and McMinnville and you can use the RV parks as a base while you tour the Williamette Valley.

Types

A state park that has RV camping is close to Newberg, and several RV parks sit in the area of McMinnville and Newberg. The Champoeg State Heritage Area is a public park where you can reserve an RV space. This park has plenty of bicycling and hiking trails you can enjoy all year. The private RV campgrounds include the Portland-Woodburn RV Park, Olde Stone Village and the Portland-Dayton RV Park. The Portland-Woodburn RV Park is southeast of McMinnville, the Olde Stone Village is in McMinnville, and the Portland-Dayton RV Park is in Dayton, about halfway between McMinnville and Newberg.

Features

The Champoeg campground has 76 sites that have electricity and water, and a dump station. This campground has two museums that show pioneer life in this part of Oregon, a visitor center, and a garden that replicates gardening in the 's. You can hike, bicycle, and visit the wetlands that line the banks of the Williamette River that forms one of the boundaries of this park. The private campgrounds include swimming pools, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and convenience stores. You can take advantage of the small-town locations by bicycling or jogging on the quiet streets.

Seasons

This part of Oregon has a Mediterranean climate with comfortable summers and mild winters, however it does snow from time to time in the region, although it is an infrequent occurrence. The RV parks are open all year and you can take advantage of skiing at Mount Hood near Portland. In the fall you can attend the Apple Harvest Day at Champoeg Park to sample fresh pressed apple cider and obtain freshly grown produce. Sometimes it can get hot in the Williamette Valley and swimming in the RV park pools or swimming in the public pools in McMinnville and Newberg. In the summer these cities have farmer's markets where you can obtain freshly grown produce from local providers.

Considerations

To make sure you have a space to park your RV, it's a good idea to make a reservation at the public parks and RV parks in the area. The Williamette Valley offers a lot to do and the campgrounds can be crowded. According to the City of McMinnville, this part of Oregon receives abundant rainfall so having rain gear along will keep you dry if you are out hiking or cycling.
